Crime branch seizes liquor

NAGPUR: Crime branch have seized spurious liquor, worth Rs 1.47 lakh, and arrested bar owner Ashok Advani from Choudhary chowk in Jaripatka on Tuesday. A crime branch squad raided the bar after getting a tip-off that fake braded liquor was being served at the place.
Cleaner steals cash from truck
A truck driver had alleged that his cleaner stole of Rs 80,000. Complainant Nantar Singh Multani, 29, a resident of Kapil Nagar, claimed that he was heading from Gujarat to Jharkhand when his cleaner Umesh Kumar made away with the cash kept in the truck.
Firearm, cartridges seized
Gittikhadan police have seized a country-made revolver and three live cartridges after arresting four persons and rounding up a minor from Borgaon on Monday. Police have also recovered two sharp weapons and some other materials from the four who were preparing to commit dacoity.
