Tollywood heroes aspire to bring variation
The brand worth of Tollywood stars is skyrocketing, each passing day. Thanks to this, actors today are going that extra mile to experiment with various departments to bring that novelty factor. Apart from their style statements, manastars are busy honing certain aspects of their craft, which has become a trademark of sorts in their films. Heres a look at a few Tollywood stars and what they have been experimenting within their craft.
Mega Power Star Ram Charan has set his eyes on bringing novelty to the action episodes in his movies. Charans fight sequence, shot in a bamboo forest in China, for Racha, was one of the films highlights. Similarly, Charans Trishul fight in Naayak created a benchmark. The actor is currently honing his Karra Samu or stick fighting skills for his forthcoming flick, Govindudu Andarivadele and the makers recently filmed a special sequence on this. After undergoing training in sword fighting, horse riding,Karra Samu is the new skill Charan has acquired.
When it comes to accent, actor Mahesh Babu works hard at bringing variation and modulation to the craft, and has been speaking in different regional accents for better connectivity with his character. While the superstar spoke in Telangana accent in Dookudu, he delivered dialogues in the East Godavari slang in Seethamma Vaakilto Sirirmalle Chettu (SVSC). For his forthcoming film Aagudu, the actor will be seen mouthing dialogues in the Rayalaseema accent. The actor attributes this constant change to the films backdrop.
If you look at SVSC, the film is set in a village in East Godavari, so naturally I had to speak that accent. For Dookudu too, I play a politician who had to speak in the local accent. So the accent has something to do with films setting and my role, reasons Mahesh.
Known as the Stylish Star, actor Allu Arjun loves being fashionable and his style quotient has never been off the mark. When it comes to hairstyles, Bunny has always been innovative. From Badrinath to the recent Race Gurram, the actor has been experimenting with various style trends for his films. From long locks to a crew cut Bunny is trying it all. Its a conscious effort to change my hairdo with each film. I guess it has more to do with the way my character is written and the attitude I sport. The look, hairdo and styling are directly proportional to the way my role is expected to be, explains Bunny.
NTR Jr too seems to be in the mood to experiment with his moustaches and physical ppearances. While the actor looked lean and twirled his moustache in Dammu, he lost his trademark curls, sported a handlebar moustache and gained weight for Baadshah. The actor then went for a makeover and sported a ruffled moustache that epitomises the quintessential Telugu male and shed a few kilos in Ramayya Vasthavayya and his forthcoming action entertainer.
