It's been more than a year since
Tamannaah was last seen in a full-fledged role in a Telugu film. Her previous film, Tadhaka had released back in 2013 and since then, she has had three releases in Tamil and Hindi including Veeram, Humshakals and It's Entertainment. Although she did groove for a special song in Alludu Seenu, her role in
Aagadu will be her first full-length film in a long time.
In an earlier interaction with the media, she confirmed rumours that she's playing the role of a sweet-shop owner in the film which also stars Mahesh Babu as a cop. While her role in the film is more of a village belle, the actress seems to have brought out her best, in terms of glamour, in the songs. Recently, couple of songs were shot on Mahesh Babu and Tamannaah in Switzerland and couple of photographs from the film's sets are doing the rounds on social media. The actress is quite pleased with the way cinematographer KV Guhan and director Sreenu Vaitla have been shooting the song sequences. In fact, Tamannaah even went to the extent of thanking Sreenu Vaitla for giving her the 'best songs' in her career so far.
The film is expected to hit the screens in late September and Thaman has scored the music. The audio will be launched on August 30 and Tamannaah will soon join the sets of Baahubali, apart from Boyapati Sreenu's next action entertainer, in which she's paired opposite Bellamkonda Sreenivas.
