Bandits take away cash, gold worth millions

SHEIKHUPURA
Robbers looted cash, gold ornaments, cellphones and other valuables worth millions of rupees in three incidents here in the city and suburbs the other day.
As per details, three robbers in police uniform looted Rs200,000, 40 tolas of gold worth Rs2.4 million and three cellaphones from the house of a property-dealer in here Kot Abdul Maalik on Sunday.
Reports said that armed robbers barged into the house of Ijaz Irshad, held the family members hostage, collected cash, jewellery and valuables and fled away with the valuables.
The Factory Area Police are looking into the incident.
In another incident, two robbers deprived a man of Rs200,000 in Company Bagh area  here the other day. Reportedly, Malang Ali had withdrawn the amount from the ATM of local bank and was going towards home when the incident happened. The B-Division Police have registered a case.
Similarly, four dacoits stormed into the house of a trader Wasim Ahmad and looted eight tolas of gold and Rs300,000 at gunpoint in Muridke.
