Two firefighters suffered minor injuries when a brick wall collapsed during a major blaze that destroyed a pizzeria located in a strip mall in Mont St-Hiliare Monday.
The blzare broke out at around 10:30 a.m., a half-hour before the Med Pizzeria on Sir Wilfrid Laurier Blvd. was to open for business.
Employees arriving for work told police about an explosion emanating from the pizza joint before the flames started.
Police from the Richelieu-St. Laurent regional force say at least seven other establishments suffered damage in the fire, though no one inside was hurt.
Police are also investigating the cause. They won't speculate as to whether the fire may have been deliberate.
