FC Halifax continued their 100% start with victory over 10-man Lincoln.

Hamza Bencherif charged down a clearance to give the Imps the lead in fortuitous circumstances.

Marc Roberts forced in an Adam Smith cross to level and Scott Boden put the hosts ahead from 12 yards after Arnaud Mendy was deemed to have handled.

Ben Tomlinson equalised for Lincoln from the spot after he was fouled by James Bolton before Bencherif was sent off and Steve Williams won it.

The centre-half scrambled home after City goalkeeper Nick Townsend dropped a Danny Schofield corner in front of the former Bradford City and Macclesfield man.

The Shaymen's fifth successive win means they now top the Conference by three points, while Lincoln, beaten for the first time this season, are fifth.
