Three of the four people who went missing in a landslide that destroyed a restaurant in Pokhara in the wee hours of Monday have been found dead, police said. The fourth restaurant staffer is still missing.
The victims were staff of Typical Restaurant on the banks of the Fewa Lake. Police have launched a search and rescue operation since early morning.
Meanwhile, four other persons have gone missing after three houses got buried in a landslide in Baramphi village in Sindhupalchowk district in central part of the country. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Monday.
The landslides have been caused by incessant rain over the past two weeks. Most western parts of the Himalayan county have witnessed the downpour. Floods and landslides caused by the rainfall has already claimed more than 100 lives and more than 130 people are still missing across the country.
