Pledge to step up freedom struggle reaffirmed

Rich tributes were paid to founder of Jammu & Kashmir People’s National Party Barrister Qurbal Ali at his second death anniversary here Saturday night.
The participants of a ceremony held in this regard acknowledged the life-time services of the Kashmiri leader to the Kashmir cause and to secure and safeguard the rights of the suppressed classes of the society.
The ceremony was arranged by JK-PNP Central Secretary General Raja Zulfiqar Ahmed and Justice (r) Abdul Majeed Mallick, ex chief justice of AJK High Court and president Jammu & Kashim Liberation League while JK PNP Central President Sardar Sagheer Ahmed Advocate chaired it.
Speakers also vowed that fight for the emancipation of the people of the Indian-held state would continue till the achievement of their legitimate right to self-determination and the early success of Kashmir freedom struggle.
Speakers called for settlement of Kashmir conflict to enable them to decide their destiny under the moral and legal principles of international norms and commitments. “The early peaceful solution to Kashmir conflict is beneficial for both the nuclear arch rivals - India and Pakistan”, they underlined.
They recalled that the demise of Barrister Qurban was an irreparable loss to the Kashmir freedom struggle. They said that the late leader struggled hard throughout his life for the elimination of class system. His services to the Kashmir cause and against the suppressive forces would always be remembered. The participants prayed for the rest of the departed soul in eternal peace and grant of fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
