Kasturba Gandhi Residential School fell sick after consuming food supplied in the hostel in Hamirpur on Saturday evening. The DM has ordered a probe into the incident
According to reports, the hostellers were served Kari and rice in dinner. Soon after consuming it a few girls complained of stomach ache and vomiting. Soon around two dozen hostellers complained of nausea and severe stomach ache.
As per details, the hostel houses 41 girls, hailing from different parts of the country. As the condition of girls deteriorated, they were rushed to local medical centre and from there they were shifted to Jhansi medical college. Most of the girls were students of class sixth.
Realising the gravity of situation, Hamirpur DM Bhawnath rushed to the hostel with a medical team.
