After finishing level at 13-under-par 275 at the par-72 Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf club, Thaworn and Prom went to a sudden death play-off on the par-five 18th hole.

The 48-year-old Thaworn made par on the first play-off hole and that proved enough for him to win the title and the winner's cheque of 435,000 baht after Prom landed his third shot in the water, condemning him to a bogey. Prom, who held a one-shot lead after three rounds, took home 256,500 baht.

Carrying a one-stroke advantage into the final day, Prom extended his lead to three strokes on 15-under after 14 holes while Thaworn stayed at 12-under.

The momentum changed in the next two holes when Thaworn sank a birdie at the 15th and Prom suffered bogeys at the 15th and 16th. They were forced into a play-off after both managed to save par in the final two holes.

The third place went to American Anthony Kang, who posted a 74 for 278, three strokes behind the leader.

Prayad Marksaeng made a final-hole bogey en route for a 71 and a 279 in total. He was joint third with Thanyakorn Khrongpha (69) and Sutijet Kooratanapisan (72).

Arnond Vongvanij had a round to forget when he shot a 76 to tie for 14th place on 285 with Settee Prakongvech (72).

The best amateur golfer was national player Nattawat Suvajanakorn, who made a 70 for 288. The next leg of the Singha All Thailand Golf Tour is the Singha Open in Chon Buri on Aug 30-Sept 2.
