BHOPAL: BJP MLA K K Shrivastava, who is accused of having slapped a janpad panchayat chief executive officer Udayraj Singh for his alleged failure to respond to his phone call on August 20, was booked by police on Saturday.
After investigations police also booked four others, including district vice-president of BJP, for assaulting the public servant and various other charges.

Tikamgarh SP Amit Singh said, "No arrests have been made so far."
The accused, including the district BJP vice-president Anil Badkul, were booked under section 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 442 (house trespass), 447 (criminal trespass), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (using obscene language) and 34 (criminal act done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of Indian Penal Code.
On August 20, Tikamgarh janpad panchayat CEO Udayraj Singh had told police in a written complaint that that the MLA snatched his mobile phone, took him forcibly in his car and thrashed him.
Responding to it, Shrivastava had told the police in a written application that the officer was not receiving his call so he personally went to his office and brought the officer with him to listen to some public grievances at his (MLA's) office. After the discussions were over the officer called his driver to bring his car and went away, the MLA said adding that there was no manhandling of the CEO.
