Students planting saplings

Saplings planted: Students of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research at Tamaka in Kolar and the members of National Service Scheme (NSS) planted saplings along the NH 75 passing through Kolar. The event was organised on August 21 in association with the Social Forestry Division of the Forest Department.

Addressing the students on the occasion, the Deputy Social Forestry Officer D.N. Nagaraj underlined the need for growing trees to preserve the environment. Range Forest Officer Bindu, NSS coordinator Ananth Bhattacharya, and Head of Community Medicine Department of Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College C. Muninarayan were present.
