CUTTACK: The district child welfare committee (CWC) on Saturday started inquiring into allegations made by two juveniles that they were engaged by the Government Railway Police (GRP) to collect and dispose bodies found on railway tracks .
"The CWC recorded statements of the juveniles," said district child protection officer Pragati Mohanty.
On Friday, some campaigners rescued the two from Cuttack railway station.
The matter was subsequently reported to the district administration.
The juveniles have also alleged that they were underpaid and beaten up if they refused to collect the bodies.
Despite repeated attempts, GRP officers could not be contacted.
