Murder accused attempts suicide in lock-up

HAFIZABAD
A murder accused allegedly attempted to commit suicide by hitting an iron bar in his head in the lockup of Jalalpur Bhattian Police Station here on Saturday.  The injured accused was rushed to DHQ Hospital.
According to police source, Muhammad Abbas, son of Waris Ali, a resident of Mohallah Islampura Jalalpur Bhattian, accused in a murder was in the lock-up at in Jalalpur Bhattian police station. He allegedly pulled out an iron bar from the lockup and attempted to commit suicide by hitting the bar in his head. Resultantly he sustained seriously injured.
The police have registered a case against the accused accordingly.

They are; President Mian Karam Dad Bhatti, Senior Vice President Malik Sajid Hussain, Vice Presidents Haji Mnazoor Ahmad and Syed Qamar Hussain Shah, General Secretary Asif Raza Qadri, Additional General Secretary Jabar Nadeem Chohan, Information Secretary Muhammad Afzaal, Finance Secretary Dr. Mehdi Hassan and Office Secretary Babu Naseem Ahmad.  They expressed their hopes that the newly appointed office-bearers would reorganize the party in Pindi Bhattian Tehsil.
BIKE STOLEN: An employee of DHQ Hospital was deprived of his bike outside the hospital here on Saturday. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
According to police source, Jamal Saqib, X-Ray Technician of DHQ Hospital parked his bike (HZK-1071) outside DHQ Hospital Hafizabad and went inside the hospital to perform his duty. When he returned he was astonished to see that his bike had been lifted away by unidentified thief.
Distinction: Ali Hassan S/o Muhammad Arif student of Govt High School No 2 Hafizabad stood first in the 9th class (Matriculation Part-I) of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala 2014 among the successful candidates of the district. He secured 524 out of 550 marks.
