Love Feast Brings People Together

Hundreds of people gathered at the FMF Gymnasium to be part of the Agape (Love) Feast on Friday night.

The programme started with a brief presentation on the history of how Christianity came to Fiji.

It was part of the church’s Golden Jubilee celebration.

Skits and entertainment were part of the event.

The interim president of the Methodist Church in Fiji, Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca, said the jubilee signified an important aspect of the church.

“We must learn to love and work together in order to make a better Fiji,” Rev Ratabacaca said.

Secretary for Communication, Rev James Bhagwan said the feast signified unity and love among the people.

“We have invited various people to be part of this feast since it is one of the best ways to bring people together,” he said.

President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau was also one of the many present.

Members of the Methodist community, Government and non-governmental organisations and even street dwellers were part of the feast.
