“We have to take people away from government jobs. I appeal to everyone’s conscience to think about it because governments cannot provide everything,” Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has said.

Unlike her contemporaries who announce populist schemes, she believes people should not depend on governments. “We are doing things for people and announcing schemes which will work for them, not make them dependent,” she said, speaking to The Hindu during her Sarkar Apke Dwar programme.
