A senior WRD official said the water level of Ganga is below danger mark at Gandhi Ghat in state capital but is still above the red mark at Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district. The official further said in view of the 36.9mm rainfall at Kathmandu in Nepal, the water level of Bagmati was likely to increase. He said that the flow of Gandak is steady while Kosi is maintaining a declining trend after 6pm. Bagmati was flowing above danger mark at Benibad and Hayaghat in Darbhanga district, Budhi Gandak in Khagaria, Kamlabalan in Jhanjharpur and Adhwara group at Sunderpur in Sitamarhi.
