"I had predicted Chiranjeevi's success," K Raghavendra Rao says

Long before Chiranjeevi became a sensation in Telugu film industry, he was just like any other struggling actor, who was struggling to find a breakthrough. And in 1978, when he found his first break, apparently, it was K Raghavendra Rao himself who predicted that he would go on to become a big star.
"I found a lot of intensity in Chiranjeevi's eyes back when he was just starting his career and around this time, when Kranti Kumar told me that he was considering to cast Chiranjeevi in his film, Pranam Khareedu, I encouraged him.Quite frankly, I predicted his success long before he became a Megastar," K Raghavendra Rao said, while talking about Chiranjeevi on his talk show, Soundarya Lahari.
Although it took sometime before Chiranjeevi rose to super stardom, the duo went on to work together on several films like Gharana Mogudu, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari among many other success films.
