On being a youth icon and how it feels
Despite the amount of success she's seen the actor seems pretty grounded and credits her humble background. "We all have it in us. It's just being there at the right place at the right time".
Her take on item numbers
" I don't see the harm in it. Sridevi and Juhi Chawla ji have both done item numbers, and I would love to, too."
Her mother's reaction to her working opposite Emraan Hashmi
"Mom said one thing - don't take away the serial kisser tag away from him" (laughs). But on a serious note, "Emraan is the common man's idol. My mother was more excited to meet him than Saif."
On whether she considers her mother to be an inspiration
"yes, I'm a carbon copy of my mother. In our lives, we always have that one person who urges you forward. My mom does that for me. She's my best friend. Without her I wouldn't have been able to shift to Mumbai and become an actor.
On Sajid Khan and Humshakals
"I feel, once you make a mistake, there'll be ten people to pull you down. It was just bad luck that the film (Humshakals) didn't do well and I really hope Sajid bounces back soon."
The casting couch
"Nothing like the casting couch exists. It only exists if you think it does." And be that as it may, she also added that men do exert their power. And although something like the casting couch may not have happened to her, she admits women, in general, do have to deal with things like that.
"I have a simple formula. If I want to reach somewhere, then I'll do so on my own."
Her message to girls
"More than the girls, I wan't to say this to men.. respect women. And to women.. stand with each other." She added that a woman may be a woman's biggest enemy and how that needs to stop. For the men, she added, that even if they choose to ignore things like eve-teasing and harrasment today, it could come back to them tomorrow since tomorrow it could be their mother or sister.
On resembling Angelina Jolie
"There could be two Angelinas, but sadly there's just one Brad Pitt." (laughs)

"I hope people can educate themselves better. I've seen the videos and strangely haven't seen a single person donating. But whoever you are, wouldn't you rather donate? I believe in not wasting resources and donating".
