Multan: Court grants pre-arrest bail to Billu Butt, 17 others

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court approved the bail before arrest for plea of 18 accused including Billu Butt in Multan on Saturday.

A case had been filed against 18 accused and 50 unknown people under the terrorism act in the wake of attacking Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s residence in Multan 3 days ago.

Billu Butt and other 17 suspects were brought before Anti-terrorism Court and their lawyer Sheikh Fahim filed a petition for bail before arrest. The court has accepted the plea till September 4.

When the accused Billu Butt left the court with his companions, supporters of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) showered petals on them. Talking to the media, Butt said that they would not let Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri to derail democracy.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers staged protest outside Senior PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s house in Multan on Tuesday. The workers also tried to break the main gate of the house.

According to police, PML-N workers held protest and staged sit-in outside house of PTI’s leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that his house was attacked by Bilal Butt alias Billu Butt, who is PML-N’s district president in Multan.
