Egyptian captain, electrician found dead inside ship in Dahej

The captain and an electrician of an Egyptian ship, Wadi Sudr, were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the cargo vessel at Dahej port on Thursday night.

BHARUCH: The captain and an electrician of an Egyptian ship, Wadi Sudr, were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the cargo vessel at Dahej port on Thursday night.
The bodies of Hany Abdelmaksoud Mahmoud, 39, a resident of Kalyobiya, Egypt and that of captain Vagdi Mohamed Ahmed Ali, 40, a resident of Alexandria, Egypt were taken to Bharuch Civil Hospital for postmortem.

Dahej marine police station's police sub-inspector S B Sharma said, "Wadi Sudr, which had loaded coal from Indonesia, reached Adani Port in Dahej on Tuesday. The electrician had gone into the copper dam area located between the two hutches of the ship, but did not return. The captain went there to look for him and he too failed to return."
Later, some crew members noticed them lying unconscious and rushed them to a hospital in Bharuch where they were declared brought dead. Both the deceased had head injuries. The bodies were later shifted to Bharuch Civil Hospital even as Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) scientists and crime branch sleuths began investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of the two Egyptian sailors.
