JALANDHAR: Cracking a blind murder case, Jalandhar rural police have arrested a 15-year-old boy and two others for murdering his mother's paramour around seven months back. Police have arrested the minor boy along with two others -- Tarlochan Singh and Rajat Sharma.
Initially, police had registered as a case of death under mysterious circumstances since there were no marks on the body of victim, who was found on the driving seat of his small cargo vehicle in a village near Kartarpur town.
Deceased Rajesh alias Dimple's wife had got a missing complaint lodged on January 31. A day later, Rajesh was found dead in the vehicle.
However, with viscera report of the victim suggesting that there was heavy dosage of a sedative, it strengthened police theory that it was a case of murder.
Police officials said Dimple was a friend of Kartarpur-based junk dealer Krishan. He started visiting Krishan's house and developed illicit relations with his wife Simranjit, they said. Disturbed over this, Krishan committed suicide on December 25, 2013 after Simranjit refused to end her relation.
After Krishan's death, Rajesh continued visiting his home to meet Simranjit. His son, who was already angry over his father's suicide, called the deceased to his house to sell some junk where he and two other accused allegedly served him tea laced with a sedative and then pressed a pillow on his face suffocating him to death on January 31. Then they lifted Rajesh's body and put it on the driving seat of his vehicle and parked it on a road to make it appear that he died of cardiac arrest.
