Boys go missing on their way to school
GURGAON: Two Class IX students went missing under suspicious circumstances on their way to school in Palam Vihar on Thursday morning. While the boys' family members said they were kidnapped, police said the boys might have run away of their own volition.
However, Palam Vihar police lodged an FIR against unidentified people and said the schoolkids' families had not received any ransom call.

According to police, Yag and his classmate, Santosh Pandit, both 14-year-old students of Chiranjiv Bharti School, went missing under suspicious circumstances from the school gate. Yag's father, Naresh Kumar, resident of Bijwasan village, told Palam Vihar police that Yag had gone to school by a school van. And Santosh was dropped off by his father, resident of Sheetla colony in Gurgaon, at the school gate.
The school administration, meanwhile, said that the students never entered the school on Thursday and were marked "absent" on the attendance register.
"We have spoken to Santosh's parents and came to know that he had taken some money before leaving for school on Thursday morning. So we cannot rule out the possibility that they might have run away. We are very scared and are praying for their safety," Naresh Kumar told TOI. Santosh's parents were unavailable for comments.
The FIR, against unidentified persons, has been registered under sections 365 and, 346 of IPC and cops were searching for the students.
"We have handed their photos to surrounding police stations of Delhi and NCR," said ASI Mukesh Kumar, the investigating officer.
