JAISALMER: Aziz Ahmad, DG, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said that Sonar Fort is world's precious and unique heritage and he does not have words enough to praise this magnificent fort. He said the view of 360 degree of the Jaisalmer city from the top of the fort is really beautiful and he is going back with the memories of this beautiful fort. The DG spoke after seeing sonar fort during his visit to Jaisalmer.
Prior to this, a 24-member delegation of Border Guard Bangladesh came on a two-day visit to Jaisalmer on Friday, arriving on a special flight to the air force airport. The delegation that has come under the leadership of Bangladesh ministry senior officer, Mohammad Arvan Rahman, was welcomed by BSF south sector DIG B S Rajpurohit, sector north DIG Amit Lodha, commandant G L Sharma, deputy commandant Atul Karki and other officers. The delegation from Bangladesh had reached Jodhpur on Thursday evening, where Rajasthan frontier IG P C Meena, his wife Raju Meena, DIG Ravi Gandhi and other officers welcomed them. After night stay at Jodhpur, the delegation on Friday morning came to Jaisalmer. The delegation includes Rahman, BGB additional DG Latiful Haider, Mohammad Abibul Karim, Mohmmad Anisur Rahman, Mohammad Muzaffar Rahman. The delegation on Saturday will leave for Delhi.
It is to be mentioned that the delegation from Bangladesh had come to India for border guards, IG level bilateral meeting that is between August 20 and 25.
