NEW DELHI: A Nepalese citizen has been arrested with 9kg Malana charas worth over Rs 2 crore in the international market. He has been identified as Kuber Singh Budha (32).
Budha had been procuring the stuff from Manali in Himachal Pradesh and supplying it outside Delhi University colleges, five-star hotels and pubs. He also supplied it in bulk to city peddlers who sold it in a package with drugs like LSD, ecstasy and meth, sources said.

Additional CP Ashok Chand said a team led by DCP Dinesh Gupta and ACP Suresh Kaushik received information on August 21 that a drug trafficker would come to Sector 16 in Rohini. A trap was laid and Budha was apprehended on the informer's instance. A case has been registered under NDPS Act.
During interrogation, Budha told police he lived in Burari in north Delhi. He said he went to Manali in search of work and came in contact with local drug traffickers. In 2012, he moved to Delhi. He would procure charas from drug traffickers in Nepal and Himachal and supply it to peddlers in north Delhi from where it was further distributed.
In February, the crime branch had rounded up a 35-year-old Greek national with 140 LSD paper stamps and 240 grams of charas. Police said he used to peddle these as a package.
