Nawazuddin Siddiqui: People didn't get my Huma Qureshi joke!

The last time that master actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui teamed up with Huma Qureshi, the film turned out to be a cult classic. The film in question is obviously Anurag Kashyap's GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. In fact, the name of Nawaz's character in the film, Faisal Khan, became synonymous with the actor and was a rage with the youth and campus crowd.

Nawaz and Huma have paired up once again for Illuminati films' Sriram Raghvan directed, BADLAPUR, which got completed recently, just as Nawaz had told us, a couple of weeks back.

However, we will talk about BADLAPUR and its other star, Varun Dhawan later. Right now, we would like to clarify about Nawaz's Huma Qureshi joke which was not understood by some members of the fourth estate. Apparently Nawaz had said that Huma Qureshi had changed and was not the same person.

When we put up the question to Nawaz he laughed at it and said, "You may be right. When I met Huma after a while, I pulled her legs by saying- Tum badal gayi ho. Ab to tum star ban gayi ho (You have changed. You have now become a star!). I said the same to the assembled media, who took it literally and assumed that the two of us (Huma and me) are not on good terms. That is not at all the case, we are on the best of terms and share a great vibe and rapport, as will be evident in BADLAPUR," concludes Nawaz.

Well, dear Nawaz, we can only say- Sense of humour and more importantly, common sense can at times be very uncommon!
