Gwyneth Paltrow thinks Chris Martin 'could do worse' than Jennifer Lawrence

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly has no problem with estranged husband Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence dating.

The 41-year-old actress and 37-year-old Coldplay frontman separated in March, and Martin has since been linked to 24-year-old Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence.

"Her take is, 'Hey, he could do worse,'" a friend of Paltrow's told Us Weekly. "She just wants him to be happy."

Paltrow and Martin were married for ten years, and have two children together, 10-year-old daughter Apple and 8-year-old son Moses. Lawrence split from boyfriend Nicholas Hoult in June, reportedly because of their busy careers. Martin and Lawrence have "been spending quality time together" since.

Paltrow has been dating Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk. The actress will appear alongside Johnny Depp in Mortdecai in 2015, while Lawrence is scheduled for Serena and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 later this year.
