Florence Welch finds it hard to connect with someone

Florence Welch insists that she finds it difficult to have a “meaningful connection” with someone when she’s not on stage.

Washington: Florence Welch insists that she finds it difficult to have a “meaningful connection” with someone when she’s not on stage. The 25-year-old singer struggled with a broken heart after her long-term relationship with Stuart Hammond ended. Welch admitted that when she is on stage it is the only form of escape she has.
“Singing is the only time I truly feel happy. You have that intense connection with a few thousand people and it feels real. Then you come back off tour and it’s hard to have that intense connection to someone one to one,” a website has quoted her as telling a magazine. “I wonder if having a connection with that many people makes it impossible to have a meaningful connection alone with one person?” she said. The 25-year-old singer who fronts Florence + the Machine, acknowledges that while her situation is upsetting her, it is not her job which is being affected, and it is only when she’s alone that she feels empty. “This job is not making me sad, it is the situation I’m in is making me sad. The people, the places, the shows, I love all of that. It’s just those quiet moments in the hotel room where everything just goes. After all that intensity, to suddenly be alone like that... it’s... My God, the Demons are approaching! Quickly... must... buy... some... paisley,” she added. ANI
