TTF 2014 opens in Ahmedabad

This weekend Ahmedabad’s Gujarat University Exhibition Hall is playing host to the annual travel and tourism extravaganza,TTF. India’s oldest and the largest network of travel & tourism fairs that every year brings together the Indian and global travel industry under one roof in 10 cities, TTF is now celebrating 25 years of successful leadership and service to the travel industry.

With over 400 stalls from 14 countries and 29 Indian States & Union Territories, the 3-day travel trade show in Ahmedabad, brings together state tourism boards, national tourist offices, hoteliers, airlines, tour operators and travel agents, online travel companies, railways and cruise lines, all under one roof.

In a special section offering International packages branded as the Outbound Village @ TTF,Malaysia, New Zealand, China, Thailand, and Oman are participating as Feature Countries. Bhutan, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Nepal, Singapore, Turkey, UAE & Vietnam are also represented by travel operators – all looking for the right kind of opportunity to tap the thriving India outbound market.

With its latest campaign 100% Pure, New Zealand is making its debut in TTF Ahmedabad. Encouraged by last year’s response, Visit Malaysia, in partnership with Malaysian Airlines, is offering unbelievable packages only valid for bookings made at TTF Ahmedabad from August 22 to 24.

Vibrant Gujarat, while playing the role of Host State, is aggressively promoting its new destinations and attractions. The landmark Khushboo Gujarat Ki campaign of Gujarat Tourism is the theme of the Gujarat pavilion showcasing its forthcoming leading festivals like Monsoon Festival at Saputara, Tarnetar Fair, Navratri Festival, The RannUtsav and the International Kite Festival. Gujarat is a very strong source market of outbound and domestic tourists. It is also a leading destination for domestic tourists.

Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh & Odisha, with large contingents of private sector hoteliers and travel operators, are making strong pitches for tourists from Gujarat as Partner States.

West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala, Goa, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and the new state of Telangana are all displaying their new destinations and latest tourism campaigns as Feature States this year.

Other Indian States and UTs who will also be present are Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

To enhance and showcase their respective offerings, aside from attractive and elegant stalls, participating states and countries at TTF Ahmedabad will present daily cultural events and marketing presentations to trade visitors and the media.

Together, TTF Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai and Pune, set back-to-back over four consecutive weekends in August and September, provide the travel industry a power-packed and action filled marketing month!Exhibition space in the series is sold out, and exhibitors are looking forward to woo the travel trade and general visitors at the House-Full shows.
