On Wednesday, Hotel Grand, , saw an aircraft landing inside its premise, with the cast and crew of Star Plus’ new feature series “Airlines- Har Udaan Ek Toofan ” in the capital to promote their show. Present at the event were Nikhil Madhok, Senior VP Marketing and Programming Strategy, Nikhil Alva, Creative head- Miditech, writer Advaita Kala and television débutantes Tulip Joshi and V.J turned actor Yudhishtir.
The plot of the serial revolves around Ananya Rawat (Tulip Joshi) who makes a strong entry in the aviation industry not as an air hostess but as a flight officer.
The event began with a ramp featuring air hostesses, joined by the actors from the show. Soon, Nikhil Madhok took the stage and asserted “this is a new concept and goes with Star’s philosophy of nayi soch . It is our agenda to make Indian television better'”.
Writer Advaita Kala said '' I enjoy writing female forward stories. “Airlines” will start from a point where a girl does achieve her dreams'”. She admitted that her fear of flight boosted her morale to write about the aviation industry. Nikhil Alva talked about the special effects in collaboration with Pixion used give the show a concrete look.
When asked how this show would be different from their earlier aviation based shows (Sara Akash and Choona Hai Asmaan), he said “Airlines is completely different from our earlier productions. It is more about a head strong woman who decides to become a pilot and the everyday challenges that she faces during her journey”.
