Fake cleaners dupe woman of jewellery

BHOPAL: Wife of a legal advisor was duped of her jewellery by two men in guise of cleaning it here on Wednesday afternoon. The case in this regard was later registered with Aishbagh police station of the city.
Police said Sharda, 70, wife of AK Shrivastava, was at her home in Old Subhash Nagar when two persons, around 35 years of age, came and told her that they cleaned jewellery.The woman first gave them a silver ornament, which they cleaned and returned.
Thereafter, the woman gave them her gold bangles. The duo asked for hot water and insisted of going to the kitchen to boil the water. They boiled the water, mixed some turmeric in it and put the bangles in it. They left after telling the woman to take the bangles out of the solution after some time.
However, later she the bangles were missing from the solution. The matter was reported to police.
