On 15th August, at the Yunan ice storage in Nan'an District, workers have to wear thick coats walking through the -20℃ warehouse. 

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) --At 10am on 15th August the temperature outside had already hit 37, but, as a reporter for Chongqing Daily experienced, stepping into the ice storage facility of Yunan Frozen Food Distribution Centre leads to a dramatic 60 drop in temperature, the difference between ice and fire.

Located at a branch of Nanhu Road in Nanping District, four workers wearing thick army coats and cotton-padded caps spoke about the storage facility. ‘It’s colder inside than you think.' said a porter, Li Fulong. As a storage porter of the distribution centre, Li Fulong, along with a dozen other workers, is mainly in charge of loading, unloading and carrying frozen foods into ice storage and the refrigerated trucks.

According to distribution centre staff, the ice storage is mainly used to store red meat, seafood and ice cream with an average of over 300 tons passing in and out of the facility each day. (Translated by Li Jiali, Fathom Language Limited)
