Latest buzz suggests that the first look poster of Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh's "Gopala Gopala" might be released on the special occasion of Ganesh Chavithi (Ganesh Chathurthi).
Earlier, it was said that the first look will be released on Krishna Janmashtami. However, the makers did not release the poster much to the disappointment of the fans. Now, speculations are rife that the first look might be unveiled on 29 August for Ganesh Chathurthi festival. But, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
"Gopala Gopala" is being shot at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. The film, directed by Kishore Pardasani aka Dolly, is a remake of the Hindi satirical comedy film "Oh My God," starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
The Telugu version will have Pawan Kalyan reprising Kumar's role, while Venkatesh will step into Rawal's shoes. Shriya Saran plays the female lead opposite Venkatesh. Mithun Chakraborthy, Posani Krishna Murali, Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore, Madhu Shalini and Deeksha Panth are also part of the film's cast.
"Gopala Gopala" music is composed by Anoop Rubens of "Manam" fame. The film's cinematography is handled by Jayanan Vincent, while editing is done by Gautham Raju. The satirical film is produced by D.Suresh Babu and Sharat Marar.
Pawan's role will be on the screen for 25 minutes. There was a buzz that the powerstar had made some changes to the script as well as to his role. However, director Dolly has refuted the rumours.
"There have been no changes in the script and Pawan has never asked for it to be changed. His character will be on-screen for a duration of 25 minutes as in the original movie, played by Akshay Kumar," Deccan Chronicle quoted the director.
There are huge expectations for "Gopala Gopala" as Pawan and Venkatesh are sharing screen space for the first time. Both the actors have been on a roll with their last films having turned out to be successful films. Their fans will be hoping that "Gopala Gopala" strikes gold at the box office.
The film was expected to hit the screens this year itself, but latest reports claim that the makers are targeting a Sankranti release in 2015.
