A Zimbabwean film entitled “Maria’s Vision” will premire tommorrow at the Campus Centre, Luton University in UK.
The 110-minute movie directed by Tendai Mudhliwa will feature Zimbabwean international actress Memory Savanhu. In a statement, Tendai Mudhliwa said people must expect high quality movie by Zimbabweans which fits well in international standards.

“What is going to come out is the best quality and we did not want to rush our product. This time real talent will be featuring in the film because we had an unexpected high turnout during auditions and we got the cream of the crop,” he said.

He said the movie is a sweeping story of love, corruption, deception and social degradation.

“Maria’s Vision is a distinct fast paced-nail biting feature, with a film look, brought to life by powerful actors like Memory Savanhu, Belinda Magejo and also a wide range of Zimbabwean celebrated entertainers such as Ogga Kattalogg.

“Each scene pushes you towards the edge of the seat as adrenaline pumps with every fraction of a second . . . frame by frame.”

Savanhu plays the main character Maria and Goodwin Ngulube plays her husband Tapiwa.

After their separation fate throws at Maria financial situations that force her to drop her principles and integrity and pick up survival tactics in Luton.

The movie will also première in Harare and other parts of African countries including Zambia courtesy of Gate Media Productions.

Savanhu is best known for her starring role in the Television series “Catwalk”, which won the Academy Award for Foreign Language Film at the Nigerian Academy Awards .

She is based in Nigeria and owns a production company Memkay Productions. She has worked with some of the greatest Nollywood actors such as Rita Dominic, Monalisa Chinda and Desmond Elliot.
