Inspection heat on town planner flayed for not inspecting 4 colonies
GURGAON: Four RWAs — Mayfield Gardens, Parasvnath Exotica , Uppal's Southend and Ardee City-I — have come down heavily on the senior town planner for not carrying out on-spot inspections, despite several requests and even an order from deputy commissioner Shekhar Vidhyarthi.
In a meeting with the RWAs last month, the DC had ordered senior town planner Kamal Kumar to carry out inspections at these four colonies, so as to sort out the differences between residents and builders.
With the next round of such meetings with other RWAs and builders scheduled for August 25, these four RWAs are skeptical over measures taken by the district authorities in sorting out the woes of the residents suffering from lack of infrastructure in builder colonies.
"The minutes of the meeting were circulated by senior town planner himself and he was asked by the DC to conduct on-site inspections of all the four colonies. We even went to his office twice with a written request," president of Parsvnath's Exotica Condominium Owners Association Amit Bansal said.
He added: "There has been no intimation from his side regarding the same or any other district authority or official."
Ardee City-I RWA's general secretary M M Arora told TOI that no official has turned up till date. "I don't know why officials have not come till now, may be they are not serious about our issues. This nexus between builders and district officials is never ending. The authorities should come to us first rather than side with the builders first," he said. RWA president of Uppal Southend, R S Yadav, said the authorities were not interested even after the DC's orders. Even in Parsvnath's Green Ville, RWA official Susheel Sharma informed that their sewerage treatment plant has been in a mess and even though he had brought up the issue in the meeting with the DC, nothing has been done about it.
"I have sent three reminders to the concerned officials and even sent Vidhyarthi a copy but haven't got any response yet," he added.
When TOI contacted senior town planner Kamal Kumar, he said: "It is not my job to go and inspect these sites, how much can one person do. I'm not a one-stop solution rather I'm coordinating with the concerned officials and if they don't visit, I will mention this in my report to the deputy commissioner on August 25."
