Missionery school principal arrested on complaint of parents

Waghai police in southern Gujarat district of Dang has arrested Christian Missionary run St. Thomas school’s principal Ibrahim David and hostel warden RN Gamit on complaint of parents of a tribal student.
Complainant accused that David and Gamit were beating up poor tribal children and using offending language. When asked to not to treat children in this manner they threatened parents to remove their children from school.
The school is located at Jhawda village near Waghai on Waghai-Bheskatri-Vyara road.
District’s Kahkolpada school principal Dharmendrabhai Mahala had filed complaint in district police chief’s office in writing. Dharmendrabhai’s son is fifth standard student in St Thomas missionary school at Jhawda. Dharmendrabhai in his complaint said, not only his son, but other tribal children were also beaten up with offending language related to tribals used by school principal and others.
