This is the debate the Kannada industry is having of late, as more and more Malayalam films are witnessing successful run in Bangalore. Be it super-hit Bangalore Days or recently released Njan Steve Lopez, Malayalam films with urban subjects are attracting large numbers of audiences to the city theatres.
It is not just the Malayalam audiences who are making a beeline in theatres to watch Mollywood films, but also film-goers from across the country settled in Bangalore are enjoying these films, as they come with sub-titles.

Njan Steve Lopez narrates the story of a 19-year-old teenager, who accidently gets into the vortex of local gang wars. The film, directed by Rajeev Ravi, stars Farhaan Faasil (actor Fahadh Faasil’s brother) and Ahaana Krishna.
