    Synopsis

    Pundole's auction of 250 artworks includes priceless luxe keepsakes too.

    For collectors of fine and decorative art, the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre at Mumbai's NCPA will be the place to be on August 26 and 27.

    In its second auction of the year, art gallery Pundole will exhibit 272 pieces ranging from classical Indian art like miniatures, Tanghkas and sculptures to modern pieces like Louis Vuitton trunks and paintings.

    While the auction will be held over two days, the viewings will begin from August 22 at Pundole's.

    MF Husain; Untitled oil on wood, six panels (1958). Price range: Rs 1.5-2.5 crore

    Mid-19th century. A silver and wood temple swing from the estate of the late Dr Moti Chandra. The throne's design is similar to ones seen in Rajasthani miniature paintings of 18th and 19th centuries. The swing used to be in Bharatendu Harish Chandra's Benaras home for many years. Price range: Rs 15-20 lakh

    A pair of Bombay High Court teakwood armchairs (19th century). Each armchair has a curved back and scrolled arms. The curved headrest shows Royal Arms of the United Kingdom and the seat and back are upholstered with bottle green leather. Price range: Rs 3-5 lakh
