JAMMU, Aug 20: Police today arrested three criminals from Amritsar, who were wanted in different cases at different police stations and brought them to Jammu.
They have been identified as Rohan Thappa alias Kallu son of Vishal Thappa R/o Gorakh Nagar wanted in attempt to murder and Arms Act case by Bagh-e-Bahu police station, Raghubir Singh alias Dana son of Purshotam Singh R/o Chorli, Bishnah and Shubam Karmudal alias Poulto son of Bahadur Mundal R/o Hassanbad, Kolkata, presently putting up in Bishnah, both of whom were also wanted in attempt to murder case and extortion cases.
Police parties headed by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Sunil Sharma, ASI Ahmad Din, and ASI Mohammad Rafi made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq.
Questioning of the criminals and further investigations against them were on.
Meanwhile, police arrested five more accused in which Rohan Thappa alias Kalu was the main accused and was involved in injuring one Rattan Paharia, which is still admitted in Amritsar hospital.
They have been identified as Babita Raina, Sahil alias Dabdi, Vikas alias Vicky, Abishek alias Shivji and Ashish alias Dana, all residents of Gorakh Nagar.
