13 booked for Kherki Dhaula toll vandalism
GURGAON: Police have lodged an FIR against 13 people, after over 300 local residents on Tuesday thronged the Kherki Dhaula toll plaza and forcibly opened the toll gates after allegedly attacking employees of the toll operator and looting Rs 50,000 in cash.
"An FIR has been registered following a complaint by the toll operator and we are investigating," said investigating officer Bijender Singh.

The FIR was lodged after a late evening meeting on Tuesday between T C Rao, the new chief of toll operator Skylark Highway, and the villagers failed to break ice.
The meeting was facilitated by city's assistant commissioner of police Narendra Kadiyan and Kherki Daula police station chief Hardeep Hooda. After that meeting, Rao had called up Gurgaon Police commissioner Alok Mittal, following which the FIR was lodged late on Tuesday night.
Residents from Manesar, Shikohpur, Sikanderpur, Kherki Dhaula, Narsinghpur, Rampura and other nearby villages gathered at the toll plaza on Tuesday and forced open all the 21 lanes. In an email to the media, Rao has alleged that nearly 300 people had attacked the toll staff, looted Rs.50,000, tore up some important papers and even threatened to torch the plaza.
