MARGAO: An
undertrial,
Irshad Singur, who had escaped from the judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) court premises in Margao on August 14,
surrendered before the JMFC on Wednesday. An offence had been booked against him by the
Margao police after he had escaped. Singur, a resident of Moti Dongor, Margao, faces charges of committing theft of valuables and gold ornaments from parked cars. He was arrested by the Margao police in June.
Six cases have been booked against him by the Margao police and two by the
Calangute police.
