People foil bid to snatch cash in Madhepura

MADHEPURA: The locals caught a criminal for his alleged involvement in snatching cash from the bank customers across the region and handed him over to the Murlinanj police station in Madhepura district on Tuesday. People caught the criminal when he and his associate was trying to snatch cash from a woman when she was on way to her house after drawing cash from Gol Bazaar branch of SBI near a school in Jairampur Mohalla of the town.
Two criminals following her on a bike made an abortive bid to snatch purse containing cash from Mala Devi, a resident of local Gaushala Chowk. She took the purse in tight grip in one hand and pushed the bikers by another. The bikers lost the balance and fell on the ground and the people caught them.
