Not many know that ace director, S S Rajamouli played the role of Lord Krishna in a film, when he was quite young. In fact, when he shared a picture of him posing as Lord Krishna, it came as a big surprise to many of his fans on a social networking sites and shortly, the picture went viral. Apparently, the film was never released, which promoted one particular fan to say, "Had you become an actor, we would have never seen films like Eega, Magadheera in Telugu.
We are all lucky in that sense."
It's a well known fact that Rajamouli's father, Vijayendra Prasad has been a screenwriter for several years now and his uncle, Siva Datta had also directed few films. Later, Rajamouli worked as an assistant under K Raghavendra Rao for few years before turning director. And the rest is history.
Currently, Rajamouli is directing a period drama, Baahubali which is tipped to be one of the biggest projects ever in Indian cinema. Prabhas, Anushka, Tamannaah and Rana are playing the lead roles in this bilingual film, which will also be released in Malayalam, Hindi and several other languages. M M Keeravani is the music director and Senthil is the cinematographer. Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are producing the film.
