Daryl Pace, a 21-year-old from Hamrun was today given his last chance to avoid jail by Magistrate Josette Demicoli. Pace admitted to causing €100 worth of damage to a window during a break-in at an Msida restaurant.

Magistrate Demicoli handed Pace a two year prison sentence suspended for four years.

She told Pace that he is still young and it is not too late for him to mend his ways. He has already been found guilty of another crime in March 2014.

His accomplice in the Msida break-in, 40-year-old Nicholas Fenech from Valletta, also pleaded guilty.

He was handed a one year prison sentence suspended for two years.

Both men were ordered to pay back the €100 worth of damage to the restaurant owner.
