BHOPAL: The tiny tots of Sharda Vidya Mandir stole the show with their outstanding performance during Janmashtami celebrations. Dressed as shepherds, Gopis and Lord Krishna, the children clad in traditional attire enacted various scenes from the life of Lord Krishna like slaying of Kalya Demon and lifting of Govardhan Giri, which drew applause and appreciation from one and all.
Chairman Vinay Agrawal congratulated the children and staff on their excellent performance while Principal Shefali Gautam exhorted the students to follow the path of truth and honesty and shun evil.
Depicting Sudama-Krishna relationship and Raasleela, students celebrated Janmashtami with traditional gaiety and fervour at St Paul School, Anand Nagar on Saturday. During the programme, senior faculty Jyotsana Mishra cited Gita Shlokas and exhorted the students to embody the strengths and qualities of Lord Krishna. In his address, Principal Fr Sebi elucidated on teachings of Lord Krishna and appealed everyone to be dedicated towards one's work with least expectation for rewards.
Fervour marked Janmashtami celebrations held recently at Sprouts Pre-School. Students clad in the attire of Radha and Krishna danced to the tunes of foot-tapping song 'Woh Kisna Hai'. The programme began with information about the festival and was followed by pooja and aarti. Children offered flowers and sought blessings of Lord Krishna, who was placed in a beautifully decorated swing. Children made pyramid to reach the matki and broke it. The programme concluded with prasad distribution.
The students of Pretty Petals Foundation School celebrated Janmashtami with great pomp and show. The tiny tots dressed up as Krishna, Radha and Gopis. Commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna, they sang devotional songs and presented dance. Butter and sweets were distributed. A matki-phod competition was also organized which was enjoyed by one and all.
A similar function was held at Sukanya Blooms School where the tiny tots broke matki to mark the celebrations. The kids enthralled the audience with their outstanding performance.
Workshop held at Sagar Public School: A '21st century teachers' workshop' was organised at Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar recently. The interactive faculty development workshop saw participation of teachers from various city schools. 20 teachers from over eight schools in the city like International Public School, Mithi Govindram, etc attended the seminar. Associate professors from Pearl Academy, Mumbai, Jyoti Manral, and Kuntal De enlightened the participants about current trends and developments in teaching and learning. Experts who are accredited with Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, elucidated on how to encourage and motivate students to reach their maximum potential. Principal Jaishree Kanwar also shared her inputs.
