They cannot reject any candidate for any reason as per rule although rules exist, they cannot verify statement of accounts, assets etc; submitted by the Political parties, candidates & Parliamentarians because election commission has no authority to verify but can only demand submission, the submission of accounts & details of assets are mandatory, but EC always has to announce extension but even then it is submitted late. In this case, EC has the right to disqualify those Parliamentarians who does not submit on time, but is not done for reasons best known to them, so what Election Commission are you talking about ? EC Chief is selected by only 2 Political parties, so it is obvious that there is no chance for free, fair & transparent election possible. Most of the Candidates submitted details during election are full of contradictions & in many cases false. Such action falls under article 62 & 63 which EC has the right to reject those application, but it is not complied by the EC...why ? What are you talking about Election tribunal ? they are supposed to settle complaints within 120 days after the election. Many cases are still not yet decided even after 14 month. IK demand for verification of 4 constituencies are not yet even heard because the other party PML N against whom complaint has been submitted, never attended. What are you talking about SC ? has it ever convicted any one from so many high profile cases ? IK also approached SC to hear their election complaint due to delay by EC, SC has not yet made even a 1st hearing...such attitude forced IK / PTI to do dharna & takeout rally...today Mr Nisar is ready to open 20 constituencies...what a joke ? then blaming IK for the mess is not right....if in the beginning the PML N had agreed to open 4 constituencies, what ever the result might have been ( most probably IK may be wrong ), but at least IK would have no face in front of the Public. Today, due to NS & PML N ego & arrogance, IK got chance to gather sympathy....consequently, the country image is damaged & loss of revenue continues...hence, the govt is only to be blamed.....the govt has exposed to be most politically immature....

Zardari promised and made agreements again and again for restoration of judiciary but he did not do so. At last Nawaz Sharif had to do a Long March. Imran promised and signed an agreement with the government that he would not enter in the red zone. Today, he is trying to break this agreement. No difference between Zardari and Imran. A few months back - majority of the readers of Tribune and Dawn were not just sympathetic to IK and PTI but considered IK as the last hope for a improved, progressive and peaceful Pakistan. But Imran did exceptional to ruin his hard work of 18 years and the hope that most of the middle and upper middle class Pakistanis once held. If one reads the comments by various bloggers and readers in Daily Dawn and Tribune, it will be easily understood that IK and PTI are on their lowest ebb in terms of popularity. Both PTI and PAT seem to have lost all sense of responsibility. PAT has no political weight. They are mere fasadis. However, PTI is a legitimate political force. By their behavior the PTI leaders have demonstrated they are not worthy of our confidence. Furthermore they are now endangering the very foundations of the country. Who is going to compensate for the huge economic losses that the country is suffering. The Stock Exchange is again down. PTI had a golden opportunity to implement the reform agenda. But the immaturity of IK and his merry men has lost it. Now whatever happens PTI has lost all legitimacy. Look at who is standing besides IK these days (The biggest turncoat of all times Mr. Shaikh Rasheed). Simillary PAT is accompanied by the Uber Corrupt and opportunists like the Chaudhary's.

It is our politicians ineptitude, ruling as if Pakistan is their very own fiefdom that has brought this crisis upon them. To have ignored IK's claims on vote rigging of which there is no doubt there was some, of the high handed manner of handing government jobs to family members, the shooting of fourteen PAT people with total impunity in the Punjab and wounding umpteen more, in a long list of claims that have been ignored until the situation has escalated to a point of no return. Pakistan's annual dismal showing in all statistics whether corruption, failed state, poverty, unemployment and inequality, have given IK and Qadri further ammunition to make the demands that would be unthought of in a democratic system. Imran is taking all possible steps that can be harmful for Pakistan. For example: - Why did Imran Khan accepted Pervez Musharraf as President of Pakistan? He is always polite and humble in his speeches. - Why are you always busy in threatening Supreme Court, judges, election commission, election tribunals and Police? There is only one problem at the moment. Problem is that minority want to take over the majority. PTI is a minority in National Assembly while PML-N is in majority. Imran Khan's speeches are full of hate and violence. He always makes jokes of Nawaz Sharif in his speeches. He does not fear of Allah in his heart.

The Red Zone has been previously used for protests. During 1997 the Noon leaguers attacked the Supreme Court building located there. It was used during lawyers’ movement for continued protests. Even Shahbaz Sharif led a mob there and burnt utility bills as a sign of civil disobedience during last PPP regime.

So what's the big deal if PTI wants to protest there? It is their right and no one should stop them.

An agreement was made between government and PTI before the start of March that PTI will not enter in red zone. Imran should realize that it is very important in Islam to fulfill the commitment. Imran Khan is violating all ethical standards of politics. The security of Red Zone should be handed over to Pakistan Army.

Imran should not take any action that may result in bloodshed. Why does he want to enter Red Zone? He only wants to derail democracy in Pakistan. He is fooling the public.

The pirported Red Zone is not some hallowed ground, whose holiness must be protected at all costs. Under a supposed dictator, the lawyers' movement protested there repeatedly for 6 months. Shahbaz Sharif led a civil disobedience there during PPP rule and tore up utility bills.

If he were the least bit sincere for his love of this country, he wouldn't have stood next to Musharraf and accepted a dictator as his president. He wouldn't threaten to cut off Tarbela dam's electricity to the people of Punjab. He wouldn't retire to Banni Gala every day after he's forced poor men and women out in the rain and heat. He wouldn't force the KP Chief Minister by his side during this protest, leaving the KP government effectively rudderless. He wouldn't make demands that are outside the remit of the constitution. I think calling for Civil Disobedience is by far the smartest move by IK. We all know it is not going to have a local impact where the rich don't pay taxes and have ways/sources to delay/ignore utility bills and poor can not avoid the taxes and the bills, no matter what. But it does have a profound impact on Pakistan's credit internationally, which hurts government's ability to borrow money to fill in the deficit. If the news of IMF cancelling last night's meeting with the government is correct, IK scored maximum by just announcing the civil disobedience. NS under pressure.

Imran is acting as per the agenda given to him by his mentors and the agenda is to ruin Pakistan. PTI has destroyed KPK and their next target is Pakistan.

After resignations of PTI, Election Commission should announce the schedule of By-Elections.

Imran's arrogance and attitude shows that he is not fit for the post of Prime Minister. This post requires a mature and sober person. Imran is a quite immature man.

Imran's stupid actions are badly affecting the economy of Pakistan. Billions are being lost on daily basis. All issues should be resolved with dialogue. I think that Imran Khan should be immediately arrested.

Imran, please remember your commitment. You committed before the start of your march that you would not enter the red zone. Don't you know the importance of commitment and promise in Islam. It all shows that you are not a trustworthy person.

Army should immediately take action against PTI workers for the security of Red Zone. PTI leader and his workers should be taught a lesson.

Imran, please don't forget that there millions of people who love Nawaz Sharif. Where are you taking the country. Nawaz Sharif can also bring his workers outside. Then what will be the condition of Pakistan. Imran is an enemy of Pakistan.

Imran Khan is using dirty tactics to put pressure on the government. He is insulting the democracy. It is not democracy what he is doing.

"MZ: Musharraf is not going any where. He will be facing the consequences of violating the constitution." You got to be joking? Or you are also a Sharif's "fan"!

PTI has even don't have Opposition Leader in National Assembly. They are at number 3. Imran is continuously fooling the nation. Shame for him.

By elections should be conducted immediately on all those seats where PTI has resigned. Insha Allah PTI will lose all the seats.

Imran forgot to mention those 18 people who died in Peshawar 3 days ago due to heavy rain. 55 were injured. There was no KPK government at that time.All KPK government is busy in Dharna. I condemn PTI.

Not resigning from KPK Assembly? Utter hypocrisy. If Imran Khan and his PTI truly believed in what they were doing this would not have happened. Even his diehard PTI supporters should smell the self serving nature of their wimpish leadership.

If PTI don't resign from KPK then it has no justification in calling the last election 2013 as rigged,same election commission which conducted elections in KPK also conducted it in rest of Pakistan. There can't be pick and choose, if we won here then all is ok but if we loose some place then when make a fuss and start whining and dragging our feet.

PTI should realise that it is doing damage to itself by taking such extreme and childish positions.

We were watching the azadi march of mr imran khan. His demands seems a childish type of grumbling for such thing which is not possible. Now we heard that PTI went for taking resignation of PM but will end up giving their own resignation. Again, I think, PML (N) won this game.

This is just ridiculous. They need to stay in the system to fix it. If they think they can fix the system through a revolution, they should have realized over the last few days that they dont have the numbers to do that. Let me ask a few simple questions from PTI: How will you stop rigging in the next election when you arent even part of the election reforms conversation? If the next election is rigged, how will you ever come into power? I assume that in your answer, you will give me an answer that is within the ambits of democracy. With age and the experience of Egypt's Arab Spring, I have realized that all the passionate screaming for a perfect world is useless since you will never get a perfect world. You should be pragmatic and fix the system from the inside, even if this is a slow process. Yes you wont be a overnight hero but you will be someone who made the lives of millions better.. Isnt it about the people???
