Lalchand Rajput is quite disappointed that he’s not in the scheme of things for the national cricket team.

Talking to The Hindu from Bangalore, the India ‘A’ coach, who guided the team to victory in the recent quadrangular series in Australia, said: “When I came to know this afternoon that I did not figure in the changes made in the coaching staff, I was disappointed.

“Like talented players who perform for under-19 and India ‘A’ teams and then hope for a natural progression to the national team, I also, as a coach, am keen to be part of the national team.

“I think I have played my part in nurturing the talent of a majority of the players in the Indian team.

Umesh Yadav, Karn Sharma, Sanju Vishwanadh and Dhawal Kulkarni were with me in Australia recently.”
