Prices of groundnut oil dropped on weak demand. A similar trend was seen in cotton oil too. Retail markets in Saurashtra region remained closed. Groundnut oil loose was down ₹5 to ₹745-750 for 10 kg. Jamnagar line telia tin lost ₹7 to ₹1,165-66 for 15 kg.
Some four tankers of groundnut oil were traded in Saurashtra’s mills. The off-market price was ₹1,350-55 for 15 kg for new tin .
Traders said that prices may decline further this week. On the other hand, cotton oil also decreased on poor buying by stockists and local brands. Washed cotton oil was down ₹8 to ₹602-605 for 10 kg. About 15 tankers of cotton oil were traded here.
