KARACHI, April 6: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has nominated Hadayat Ullah Khan to lead the People’s Unity of PIA in the coming referendum which is going to held on 9 to 19 April 2018.
PPP Chairman said that it is the time to show to the Airblue Prime Minister that his anti-PIA policies and privatisation attempts are not acceptable to all stakeholders of PIA and specially to the workers of this great national carrier. This Airblue prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif are responsible for the destruction of the PIA through the open sky policy. This has become a prime duty and responsibility to defeat the pro-privatisation groups in the PIA referendum so that the ugly privatisation process is effectively halted and the era of the workers rights shall start.
The statement further said that all the new office bearers of the People’s Unity of PIA will be decided by the party after winning the referendum.
Pakistan Peoples Party has regularised more than 5000 workers, raised the wages more than 125%, lifted ban from the trade union activities, gave 12% free shares under the BESOS program and many many more incentives. Now it’s the turn of the workers to defeat all the anti workers forces in the forthcoming referendum because this time no fraud will be acceptable to the workers.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party urged PIA workers to go into this referendum under the slogan of “unity of the People’s Unity for the workers rights and to defeat the privatisation of PIA.”
