SGP Consulting secures £500,000 contracts

A software company which was founded in Swindon five years ago has won more than £500,000 of new business after securing two "major" contracts.

SGP Consulting, which opened its first office in Royal Wootton Bassett in 2009, secured the contracts with Hewlett-Packard (HP) and International Nuclear Services (INS).

Managing director Stephen Purvis said: "Since we signalled our plans to be a national company by opening our office in Newcastle we've experienced significant growth. Now we're in a position to announce these latest two contract wins, which could be worth in excess of £500,000 to the company."

Although established in the South West, SGP is headquartered in Newcastle after launching an office in the city six months ago. It also has operations in Bristol.

All three SGP offices will work on the new contracts.

Purvis added: "Our Swindon office remains a vitally important part of the business. Although the recent contracts have been won in the North East delivery of those contracts will draw on the skills of the team based in Swindon and because of the investment and jobs we're creating in Newcastle, our presence in the town is secured."
